Starting in 2005 with the appearance of the ISO 22000 standard, all the aforementioned steps are unified, and establish the requirements to be met by organizations wishing to implement a "Food Safety Management System" (SGIA). ). It includes an integration between the current concepts of "Quality Management" and HACCP. For this reason, not only is it an effective tool to control all the critical points of production and achieve safe food, but it is a powerful business management weapon.
